Hierarchy Glitch / Hierarhična napaka
Vessela Dantcheva (Compote Collective)
2019, AUT, BUL, 6’35”

In a purely abstract way “Hierarchy Glitch” deals with a core idea of the Common Good Economy model. Both visual patterns and the ensemble’s voices are tied up in hierarchical behaviour, which restrains the full potential and mobility of each individual element. Soon the matrix pattern breaks out, connections and directions are lost, resulting in entropic disorder. This is when the single units autonomously connect with the rest, forming organic and balanced constellations. They develop a collective organism, a resilient entity. The film is part of the live music performance Happiness Machine of the Klangforum Wien and of anthology animated feature film with the same title.
